Meet Libby
Desserts have always been woven into the fabric of my Southern heritage. From the sweet aroma of my grandmother’s famous strawberry pie to the indulgence of my dad’s red velvet cake and my auntie’s comforting egg custard, desserts have shaped who I am today.
In 2009, after facing a layoff from my corporate job, I turned to baking to make ends meet. What started as a necessity quickly transformed into a passion. Over 14 months, I immersed myself in the art of creating delectable desserts – cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, mousses and cobblers became my canvas. From humble beginnings selling treats from my kitchen, I progressed to bustling farmer’s markets and eventually fulfilled my dream of owning a 5-star bakery.
At Libbyann’s Gourmet, while crafting mini desserts for catering and dessert tables, I often heard customers express a longing for more variety in grocery store offerings. Their feedback inspired me to dream bigger!! To share my love for desserts to a wider audience and to bring joy to every table one delicious bite at a time.
